04. Jul 2004 Slade [release] | Review on the new Slade DVD "INSIDE SLADE - THE SINGLES"
Classicrockproductions offers the second official Slade DVD ever. First was "Slade in Flame" as you already know. About 60 minutes of reviews on different Slade hits is presented as high quality video production. There are included a few very short original Slade clips from the archives of different TV shows (most owned by Granada TV like Supersonic and others).
It's is the best video quality ever we've seen in Slade. But the problem is that the clips are running a few seconds only! So don't expect a video compilation like "Wall of hits". Just expect some people talking about Slade - then you will not be disappointed.

22. Feb 2004 Slade [release] | The DVD "Slade in Flame" will be released for the US market 23.3.2004. Here is the description from the website.
The early 1970s were very good to glam rockers Slade. In their native Britain, they invaded the charts with 17 Top 20 hits, including six at #1. Devoted fans couldn’t play Slade’s anthem-rock loud enough, and the band played to packed clubs and concert halls all across the country.
Like The Beatles and The Who before them, Slade too was seduced by the call of celluloid. In 1975, the band answered that call, starring in the critically lauded Flame. The film features the band starring as a fictitious version of themselves, while taking a dark and gritty look at the underbelly of the music industry, where hustlers, sharks and managers prey upon hot new bands. brought to you by Carsten Scholz (Webmaster) |

24. Jan 2003 Dave Glover [-other-] | Official statement by Dave Glover (concerning the news from 22 Jan 2003)
I am not, and was not planning to marry Rosemary West.
I wrote to Rosemary West first in March 2002, after reading of her decision not to proceed with her appeal in the European Courts. I firmly believe that Rosemary West was wrongly convicted of murder and I wrote to tell her that I was sorry that she felt unable to proceed. Since then, we became good friends although press reports that we 'spoke every day and exchanged hundreds of love letters' are completely untrue. I am no longer in contact with Rosemary West.
The effect on my life of the publicity surrounding these reports has been completely devastating. I have lost my livelihood, a job that I loved and was proud to have. Most importantly, my family and friends have been caused untold distress. I would appreciate being left alone to try and rebuild my life.

17. Jul 2002 Slade 2 [release] | A new article on Showbizzsite about Slade's release "Some exercise"
So let's wait and see if that single is gonna be a summerhit in 2002? brought to you by Carsten Scholz (Webmaster) |
